Yue Fei is the great soldier fighting against the Jin during Southern Song dynasty. Yue's army successively occupied Jiangzhou (Jiujiang) and E'Zhou (Wuchang), making remarkable contribution for defending the commoners of south part of Changjiang from the Jin's soldier oppression. Yue's mother, family name Yao, was a woman of virtue and wisdom.

She tattooed four characters on Yuefei's body "Dedicated to the service of our motherland" in supporting him to protect the country against foreign aggression and invasion and to regain the south Yellow River area. She is respected as the eternity mother of model teaching by Chinese people.

In spring 1136, Yuefei's mother died of illness at Ezhou. Yue Fei held the coffin and walked along the river and buried the coffin on the east of Zhuling Mountain in Jiujiang County. The grave faces northwest and is round in shape made of arch limestone structure. The length is 9.1 meters, the width is 3.2 meters and the height is 1.7 meters.

The tombstone was engraved with "The tomb of Madam Yao, mother of faithful general Yuefei of Song Dynasty". The grave of Yuefei's wife, Li Grave was located 2 kilometers to the west from here. They are listed as the provincial level cultural relic preservation units. In addition, there are two stone carving horses next to the tomb of Yuefei's mother. The height and length is 1.5 meters and the weight is one ton. There are also the kneeling postures statues of Qin Hui and wife.
