Wuyuan Town is located in northeastern of Jiangxi province and connected with Anhui and Zhejiang Province. It has easy access to the Yellow Mountains, Lu Mountain, Sanqing Mountain and Jingdezhen. Wuyuan Town was established in the Tang Dynasty (740AD). Green mountains surround the town and clear rivers flow through the area. Odd rocks, ancient trees, pavilions and corridor bridges decorated Wuyuan Town. The Lingyan National Forest Park is already a tourist resort. Two thousands of ancient famous persons' stone inscriptions survived in the 30 water-eroded caves. Many famous persons originate from Wuyuan Town such as the famous litterateur Zhu Bian, the philosopher and educationalist Zhu Xi, the railway engineer Zhan Tianyou and so on. The constructions in the town are well preserved. The Zhu Xi's Former Residence and the Yu's Ancestral Hall are also well preserved. The Zhan's Ancestral Tombs built in the Sui Dynasty attract numerous Zhan's descendants in Taiwan to worship. The four great features of the town include Lingyan ancient caves, ancient trees, constructions built in the Ming and Qing dynasties and the ancient culture. The best way to experience Wuyuan is by walking. Departing from the blare and busy metropolis, you will be able to get rid of worries and enjoy the quietness in Wuyan as much as possible.
