Ordos Biogeocenose Park is a state-level nature protection area. It is the biggest park in imminent danger with the rare and precious animals in the world. It is the grade one protected animal and reproduction place of the country. This is a world-class natural wetland.
The water surface area covers nearly 10 square kilometers. The hydraulic average depth is 3.5 meters and the deepest surpass 12 meters. It is the biggest natural fresh water lake in Erduosi Plateau. It is one of the best-preserved wetlands in the country and has been listed under the important protected wetland of China in Asian wetland protectorate name list.
