The Nanxun Gate is located at the Nanxun Road and Zhongshan South Street in Yinchuan of Ningxia. It was constructed in A.D.1020 as part of the royal palace and is the best preserved Yinchuan old city gate tower until now, and is called "the South Gate Tower". The Gate Tower faced to the south. It has an open square front gate tower that it is for assembly or celebration of Yinchuan. The structure is precise, rigorous, with colored drawing porch, red ocher wall and green glazed tile. It looks great and has the reputation of "Lesser Tiananmen”. The Nanxun Gate is 27.5 meters high. The base height of the brick passage height is 7 meters and the length is 88 meters, with the width at 24.5 meters. It was constructed into a two-story, 20.5 meters high Chinese style pavilion in the center of the base.
