Yongbulakang is on the Zhaxiciri Mountain and is not quite high. It was the earliest palace in Tibet. "Yongbu" means the female deer in Tibetan language. The word "female deer" gave people a gentle and serene meaning. There was another palace construction built on the hind leg. The first impression YongBuLaKang gave people was always very big built, precipitous and uncommon. This may be because the surroundings are surrounded by the wilderness and field ridge. Along the way to come here through the river valley makes ones eyes blur and may be the reason you see as if a palace was on the plain suddenly. Name:Lhasa Yongbulakang Palace (Yongbulakang) City:Lhasa Address:on the Zhaxiciri Mountain Admission:Free
