Tashilhunpo Monastery is located in suburb Tibet Rikeze and is under the Tibetan Buddhism Gelug sect (Yellow Lamaism). It is one of the four biggest temples, and is also the center to hold religious and political activities for previous fourth dynasties for Panchen. This temple was constructed by the Gelug sect ancestor Pakistan's apprentice. It was constructed in the beginning of 1447 and was the entire building was later reconstructed to the present state. Zhou Yuanchang, the length is approximately 2,000 meters and the bronze statue in the big hall for worshipping Buddha gold-plating Maitreya religion reached as high as 26.7 meters. It was started in 1914 by the Ninth Panchen Quni Masurium Yu and lasted for about four years. It used more than 320,000 catties of red copper, massive pearls, amber, coral, loose eolith and so on and also some of Panchen's tope palace. Tashilhunpo Monastery fully displayed Tibetan people's excellent construction art and attracted both the domestic and foreign Buddhists and tourists for worshipping and sightseeing.
