Dragon King Pond (Ri Lu Kang in Tibetan language) is one of the famous botanical garden constructions in Lhasa. There is a bigger area pond in the center of the botanical garden. There is a fable that the sixth Dalai Lama, Cangyangjiacuo once invited Mozhuzhaiqin and eight dragons to consecrate in the pond, hence the name Dragon King Pond. Dragon King Pond is located on the back of Budala Mountain. The botanical garden encircles Budala Mountain and builds a polygon fence around it. The botanical garden is 610 meters long from east to west. The widest area is 303 meters and the narrowest is 20.5 meters from south to north.
