    Barkhor Street, also known as the Octagonal Street, is a street that revolves around Jokhang Monastery. It is an old-style, with rich Tibetan nationality style. It is not just where the Tibet most famous turning wheel of prayer is but also the main business center and tourist attraction. In the tourists' eyes, this street is the commodity street, but in actual fact, it is the Tibetan nationality tradition turning wheel of prayer road which is important in the Tibetans' eyes.
    The Barkhor Street is filled with the Tibet nationality characteristic where you get to see the Tibet nationality handicrafts and the dazzling traveling souvenir everywhere. There is also the antique jewelry, the religious appliance, the Tibetan incense, the Tibet boots, the Tibet hat, gown, the Tibetan's knife, the snuffbox and various types of daily necessities. Barkhor Street sells foreign goods and the variety of goods sold keeps increasing. Near the street, many shops sells various kind of anchor and a lot of commodities carry the pasting of strange trademark which has the Indian Buddha beads and gems, the Nepalese necklace, the Bhutanese lipstick, Spain's cuticle cream, the French perfume and so on.

    This place is extremely lively from year to year. Various types of flavored snacks such as the Masen, Tui, PA Zha Maku, the fragrant stronghold, the radish fruit, dispels Switzerland, fills the sheep's intestines and the black pudding
